Class Descriptions:

All Inner Freedom Yoga classes are taught in the Anusara style of yoga, emphasizing opening the heart and a refined system of alignment.

All Levels: Similar to Level 1 - 2 with more options offered for beginners and advanced students.
Basics: Focuses on basic postures and breath, flexibility, strength-building and Anusara alignment. This class is perfect for beginners and continuing students who are especially stiff, have injuries or health issues, and for anyone wanting a slower class.
Community - 1: This is a Level 1 class with a great price! We make this offering to the community as a way to support those of lesser means in their practice. Come enjoy Heather's wonderful classes!
Gentle: Like Basics but even more gentle. This class is ideal for total beginners, seniors, people with stiffness or low energy, and anyone nursing injuries or simply wanting to move more gently. It includes Restorative Yoga postures to support deep relaxation.
Level 1: Ideal for those new to yoga, this class introduces basic alignment and breath, while keeping a moderate pace. Classses focus on alignment, strengthening, breath, ease, saftey and stability in the basic yoga poses.
Level 1-2: Classes welcome all levels of students, but are challenging with more variety including inversions and arm balances. Poses may be sustained longer, disucssed in greater detail, or be strung together in flowing sequences.
Level 1-2+: Tends to be more challenging and up-beat.
Level 2 - 3: For intermediate students with at least 1 year of regular hatha yoga practice and willingness to explore advanced versions of all classes of poses. Classes build the "inner fire" often with dynamic vinyasa (flow) sequences with greater attention to refining alignment and breath. Some pranayama exercises and meditation may be included.
Practice 1-2: This is a practice class for experienced yogis where Robyn leads the class while practicing with you at Level 1 - 2.
